Wilde about Flaubert... [Apr. 2nd, 2004|02:20 pm]
Miss Von Trapp
[Mood |happyhappy]
[Music |Razed In Black]

The Waterstones Books Quarterly magazine, which I got free for spending too much and is normally 2.50...has a free mini-mag inside it published by Oxford World's Classics called the magazine.

(issue 9, summer 2004)

YOU MUST GET IT!!!

For why??

In this little issue there are two very interesting articles...

In particular:

Oscar Wilde's Selected Journalism: An article by Matthew Parris of The Times.

And...

Malcolm Bowie on Madame Bovary...

MUST GET!! MUST GET!!!

(plenty of room on your bookshelf to squeeze in this little pamphlet;))

..........................

I'm drinking vanilla coffee, slept very soundly on account of a 'jazz cigarette' before bed...

Going to rinse my mouth with nasty salty wash and check my piercing in a minute...no swelling, no problem so far;)

Piccies soon, I promise!!

I smoke, yes. Now I just have to mouthwash after every cig lol!!

Hopefully, it will help me to cut down, but I needed a *smoke* to get to sleep after work this morning...

I've been counting sheep recently...which has surprisingly been working...but they're getting rebellious and jumping off cliffs atm lol!!

Do they have FREE stories and stuff? I love generous mags like that where they a couple of articles and lot of fresh stories to read right off the market.

I must try and get hold of this; I have somewhere my lecture notes with Malcolm Bowie's thoughts on modern (in 1970) French poets. But other people "did" Flaubert then.

Plus I'm planning an Oscar-themed window display for the end of May.........
