Gemini Horoscope Quickie: The tape loop in your brain isn't helping matters. It's time to hit the 'stop' button.

...........................................

I had only slept three and a half hours yesterday - so by the time I got to work last night I was already very tired and ready to drop.

I lost my resolve and started back on the Pro-Plus...

There is one problem with this - Pro-Plus don't work so well on me anymore... Caffeine doesn't in general. Coffee sends me to sleep, Coca-cola makes me giggly-drunk without the alcohol, and Pro-Plus give me a happy half-hour and then fall asleep again if I follow the guidelines on the box...

I suspect there is only one reason for this - and that's something to do with the entire year of speed abuse when I was in the second year of my A-Levels in 1991/2. I can barely remember that year and had to over-use Pro-plus in order to force myself off the stuff:/

So last night I had a cupful of cola and one pro-plus (chewed) on the hour every hour from 10pm until about 3am. Of course, I was wide awake and no longer sleepy - but I was very very hyperactive - and the last three hours after lunch I talked far too much.

It was a very good night - for starters we had to judge the entries for the MDEC 'Art' competition - this had me giggling for a couple of hours after as the stuff submitted was so appalling - even the better stuff wouldn't have gone amiss in Tony Hart's Gallery submitted by a fairly talented 10 year old. Ho hum - I didn't enter anyway and this merely justified for me the feeling I had that I'd be wasting my time - some of the entries looked like they'd got their kids to do them, and others were clearly photoshop manipulations that had gone into the 'painting and drawing' category.

In a word, laughable.

Discussion after lunch took the form of ancient egypt, potential for space travel/ancient civilisation/aliens/stargate theory, egyptians populating ireland and more...

And then moved on to MDEC conspiracy theory - that Lockheed Martin are databasing every address in the UK/world as our system learns places (which it does) so that the ministry of defence/superpowers can keep track of every individual and potentially know where all the 'dangerous' ones are. I see a lot of famous names every week - it doesn't take a moron to know that our system is in the process of forming databases for placenames/postcodes and it would be easy to pinpoint an individual simply by tag ID of the photographed image of the address sent to our screens.

Once again, I think I'd better shut up now.

Needless to say my buzzy-pro-plussy conversation took a further downward spiral at 5am and for the last hour we discussed pr0n and MUCH WORSE... And I was ridiculously giggly in the car on the way home.

I've slept until 4pm now, so I'm having a cup of tea and am going to take it easy tonight;)

.............................

Btw,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY aimlessdesire!!!

Re: eek!

Oh yes, that's 'creepy rubber guy'.

I sorta felt guilty about this when I read it... But this is the guy who sits next to my female friends when they're kissing and rubs his groin...and follows us round leering openly at our tits.

On the night in question he wasn't even supposed to be in the club as he is banned. No girl wants a man in his late fifties/sixties wearing what looks like a wetsuit with a white belt leering down their chest and making no pretense of hiding the fact that he's rubbing himself at the same time...

Still feel a bit bad, and it makes for bad publicity - especially when he was well out of the city centre where he was found:/

hmmmm

He WAS a bit of a nutter when Ems and me were chatting to him. I didn't know he was a dirty ole b@stard.

It's always been a bit on the scary side walking across Plym at club throwing out time. Fortunately i've had many lucky escapes from small minded janners trying to kick off.

chemical alternatives

have you tried Guarana instead of proplus?

i always found that it is soooo much better than caffeine because it's less "RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRI'MAWAKENOWYEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!"

and more
"hmmmmmmm that feels nice i can cope.."

Re: chemical alternatives

I've tried Guarana - wasn't great. Actually, I've also tried 'Rocket Fuel'...that coffee and guarana stuff. Didn't work.

I rather like the "RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRI'MAWAKENOWYEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!"

*grin*

Re: chemical alternatives

in which case a proplus/guarana combo might work.

you could also look into trying others i.e. ginseng and ginko which improves "circulation to the extremities" and you dont get much more extreme than the brain - well, not your brain, anyway..

(i've found that i'm more alert when i'm on my supplements....)

also sue used to swear by wellwoman capsules - they're a multispectrum jobby designed for, well, women...

Re: chemical alternatives

Why bother with a combination of Pro-Plus and Guarana when just overdosing on Pro-Plus will achieve the desired result??

Tried Ginseng and Ginko Biloba - but was put off by the fact that both my father and Cliff Richard swear by it lol...

I'm supposed to be taking multi-vits plus iron as I'm slightly anaemic anyway - moreso now I've gone successfully veggie for the last two months... Even my mother has given in and made a passable vegetable stew tonight! Yay!!

I'm not very good at remembering to take tablets tho - having to concentrate totally on taking my pill every day, so adding more to the cocktail is just going to cause extreme brain fryage...

Ho hum!!

(just realised I've only got 4 pro-plus left for tonight. At this rate I think I ought to just crush them up and think of something to make them last longer. Depends what method will get them quickest into my system. Chewing them and letting them slip all over my gums then 'mouthwashing' with a swig of cola seemed to work rather well last night;)

Re: chemical alternatives

gum. part chew some gum then mash in teh crushed proplus. that might work.

ugh. but it's gonna be gross when you do it though...
Ginseng/gingko are great for the circulation in general - helps with my fingers which really click and pop at times.. a result of me playing too many PC/console games and my bass..

oh, and circulation in "other" areas too :P

Crikey, Vampy, after the speed, nothing else will do, I suppose, except a constant low-level electric charge to the testicles, shoule you ever get some.

Right, I've just fired up the 1200, but no sound! :( Laters, Vamps.

You know that game 'shocking roulette'? The one you can get from Maplins for a tenner, and four people put a finger in each and one of them will get the shock??

Everyone who plays it seems to yell in pain... Doesn't do it for me:/

*quizzical look*

I suppose I did rather over-do it with the speed. Have now ruined any potential chemical/natural buzz I could get from anything apart from cola, which is short-lived and disappointing. Even red bull doesn't give me wings - it gives me wind!!

Not going back to the speed habit though - my nose couldn't take much more of it I reckon - I blame my frequent sinus headaches on the fact that most of my speed went up there lol!!

heh. when M (my ex) used to go to slimelight she'd speed all weekend and every time, and the Ross means EVERY TIME she came back she had real bad come-downs; throwing up, fainting, you name it.

after the third time i told her to stop taking the speed...
after the fourth time i stopped looking after her.

(guess i dont have the patience...)

I'm not too good with caffeine either. I get really sleepy on coffee. Too much caffeine just seems to make me twitch a lot as I fall asleep!

You? Nick Cave? Funny that!

Hugs
