Not bathing, but drowning!! ;)
I think I'd pass out in a Sauna...too bloody hot!!
I had the heater on, incense and vanilla bubbles... It's a big corner bath, and rather nice to drown yourself in for half-an-hour...
But I still hate it when I get soap in my eyes lol!!
I'll try to set it to music.
Oooh no!! No bath pictures lolol!!!
(private viewing only, har de har!)
(though I might take one or two of me in my glasses for you;))
Set it to music?? That would be fantastic!! I'd be very flattered...while you're 'at it', I have a load more here: http://vamp-girl.deviantart.com/
OK. Now I'm busy for the next three years. ;)
I said "I'll try", because "Eyes sting soap struck" is not an easy verse, ya know. ;)
Don't think of it as a verse then;)
Think of it as a sequence of jarred words:))
(like how it feels)
I need your range and your tessitura. Well, ideally:
- the notes you're able to sing without looking like you're going to die
- the notes you're comfortable with
- your most beautiful notes
- your most gorgeous note, if there's one
I'm a mezzo-soprano...full range from top soprano/descant right down to high tenor...but I mostly favour the bluesy alto range:)
Perhaps I'll record myself sometime and email you the link:)
OK. Mezzo-soprano, soprano, tenor, alto... now I know exactly your tessitura, lol!
You probably like the octave from C1 to C2 (high tenor/low soprano). Is there a song of Kate Bush that you sing easily? Oh England my lionheart, perhaps? Name a song that is perfect for your voice, please.
Yes, I rather like that range... Not really sure of any Kate Bush stuff...
More a 'Divine Comedy' register (though Neil Hannon is a tenor) and pretty much anything from Phantom of the Opera...in particular : 'Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again'.
(used to practice that one with my singing tutor)
Ack! I really can't think of anything offhand...
Thanks. I'll try to work from that. :)
I meant C3 to C4. I must go easy on 90% alcohol. ;)
I found a midi file of your Phantom song (only one track, though, so voice and piano are mixed), and it seems to go from an A2 to an F4. It's a mezzo-soprano without the top, or a contralto without the most difficult notes. Good.
90%?? Have you been drinking the nail polish remover again?;)
I knew what you meant anyway:))
Yes, it's a nice vocal switch of range (if that makes any sense), which is why I like it...
I like to sing the main phantom theme as well...(In sleep he sang to me), doing both voices...fun fun fun!!
(ignore me, I'm only on 4.2% alcohol and am putting on my makeup for going out)
Have fun. Talk to you later. :)
OK, it's composed. I only have to write it, now! Hahaha! I mean: I have to write a midi file. :)
Oh wow!! If only I lived nearer, I could come over and add the vocal score!
The midi file is almost finished. I'll post it tomorrow in my journal. Of course, it's very simple, and it's only a first version. Hey, it only took me one hour to compose it, what do you expect? Claude Debussy's Fêtes galantes? LOL. ;)
That sound you get underwater....
it is beyond compare.
rich, yet somehow mufffled.
If I could breath forever under waver, that muffled, filtered breathing, bumping, radio sound would last forever.
It's that sort of sound.
Either that, or I'm too pissed to care.
I sincerely hope you attended Black Catz - it is your civic duty, cold or no cold.
It's even better when you overfill the bath then stick your head underwater...you can hear the entire drain system as it goes down the overflow...and the noise of the electric fan heater too....
Better than conch shells and very soporific!!
