"You Spin Me Round" - Now you make me feel old. 1985, I was 18. Geez. Dancing on it was really something. I listened a lot to Duran Duran, Tears for Fears, Depeche Mode, but most of all The Cure, then. For the record, I saw my first punks in 1977 or 1978 in Crawley, Sussex, where Robert Smith, "a 17 year old attending St Wilfrid's Comprehensive in Crawley, Sussex, formed The Easy Cure with schoolmates Michael Dempsey (bass), Lol Tolhurst (drums) and local guitar hero Porl Thompson" in 1976. Now I really feel old, and it's not entirely your fault. ;)
Your "new hole" looks very good so far. Anxious to see what you look like with the ring.
"That's about right...often to be spotted in the gutter with an empty bottle of red wine and drunkenly waving at random constellations/talking to the moon lol!!" - LOL! I can almost see you.
Had to wake up to follow the last period of a hockey game, so I'm here at a stupid hour in the morning typing with 98% of my brain already sleeping so I will just shut up.
Hehe...1985, I was 11/12 (I think)!! ...and a huge fan of A-ha, Duran Duran and whatnot...got into The Cure aged 14 after listening to a friend's tape whilst on the coach going to London with the Girl's Brigade Choir to sing in the Royal Albert Hall for a rally lol!!
You're not *that* old!! You're only 6/7 years older than me:))
I'm anxious to get the ring put in too...have to wait till Monday though. *grumble*
Hope the hockey game went well...it was the only sport I was any good at during my school years...that and cross-country running. Dangerous with the stick I was and was always Wing Defense or attack...nearly broke someones ankle once;)
What a coincidence... hockey and cross-country running were also the only two sports I was good at in high school. :) I was a sniper, until my little finger got squashed between two sticks on a faceoff (I eventually lost a nail, and you know, I don't have any white "half-moon" - or whatever it's called - on that finger)... then I became a goalie, and a good one (in the long tradition of French hockey goalies, lol). :)
That was an ice hockey game I was following this morning, though. Not necessarily a good one, but an important one for the ranking of my favourite team in the final standings (the goal was to finish dead last and have better odds in the draft lottery). OK, I think you're already sleeping, I can stop talking about NHL hockey. ;)
Ouch!! Actually, I don't think I have any half-moons on my nails either...that or they're too low to notice;) Was too scared to be goalie...the girl who did that almost always got a puck in the face lol!!
Not sleeping lol...been out for a vampire game and then off to a gay club with my friends... Mr Gay UK regional heat lol...the one I voted for won, but there is no talent in Plymouth...best of a bad lot hehe;)
Going to bed as soon as I've eaten. It's been a long night (club closed at 4am) and I'm famished!!
'Fraid I've never heard of 'em. Speaking of poetry, I happen to have a new one up. I'm sure you'll like it, given it's a parody of ASF's "Now I'm feelin' Zombified".
Anyways, you look good in the webcam tonite. Wish I had a descent one.
Cool! I like it!
(it needs music)
I've bunged all mine over at deviantart...thinking of having them printed and bound at some point, but I think it's best if I wait till the muse has left me for a time...otherwise I'll keep wanting to add stuff at the last minute lol!
Ref to WOD, I know we talked about Chicago, but fancy makin some guest appearances in Koln circa 1230 [Dark Age Vampire]. I'm running two seperate campaigns. Trying to convince missbumpkin to try it out as a one-off. What say you?? P.S No Toreador as of yet, but plenty of Brujah,Ventrue and Tremere.
I would LOVE to!!
I have the manual for Dark Ages...just never got round to playing it...I'd have to generate a new char as Dizzi was only born in 1967...Toreador might be fun actually!!
Let me know when you want to play;)
Brilliant, Suzanne [Gina's friend] is up for casual dark age sessions also and I might ask little Simon to join us. Will call you later in the week to arrange a character generation session [probably round here]. Chat soon
Huysmans, eh? Much more interesting than my result;)
Never actually read Neverwhere...watched the entire series on TV though!!
Yeah, Huysmans rocks I was pleased with that outcome. I'm surprised you haven't read Neverwhere! It is amazing, I think you would enjoy it very much. Speaking of enjoying...I will have to mail your Divine Comedy cd from London it seems. I am already on the eve of my return to the Uk, two weeks flies by. Trust me I will post it as soon as I hit my flat though!
I have far more books than is healthy, and a massive backlog of them as a result...over 200 vampire books (fiction and non-fiction) and at least double that in regular literature, poetry, reference etc etc etc.
I should set up a library lol!! I will endeavour to get a copy of Neverwhere as soon as I've read through my recent four purchases;)
(ought to print myself a reading list, but then it would feel like school and not pleasure)
That's cool, two weeks did indeed fly by, and I have done nothing productive in either of those lol!!

Funny, I noticed the hole without noticing what you had written. Silly little me. Whatever though. Incidentally, to comment on the next couple of entries, why exactly are you so interested in gay men and whether or not they are too old or young for you? Unless they're bi, then it's a lost cause no matter what. Maybe that's the point though. I should shut up now. See ya soon sweetie. - Missy
Actually, the majority of my male friends are gay, and I'm bisexual myself...I know they're a lost cause lol; I was conferring with the friends of mine for a female's perspective on the physical appearance of each contestant rather than whether or not I actually wanted to sleep with them lol!!
