BAD VAMPGIRL!! BAD BAD BAD VAMPGIRL!!!
I have been very bad indeed. My pay only went in yesterday and I have already spent 65 quid on DVDs.
Oh damn the sales!! DAMN THEM I SAY!!
I only went in for a few things (which I failed to get) and Psycho and Clockwork Orange on dvd... But I ended up getting not just Psycho and A Clockwork Orange, but also:
Withnail and I
It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown/Life is a Circus, Charlie Brown.
I have three of them on tape already - but y'know - dvd's are WAY SEXIER!!!
*beats head against desk*
Also went in for my Art College library card - they couldn't do it as the machine wasn't working... But got my NUS card anyway, and met hawklord2112 in town... We went for cawfee and croissants in Carwardines, and I dragged him round HMV and Virgin in the rain lol!!
Maff was wanting to meet me, but I texted and said I wasn't in the best of moods (which I wasn't to be honest - due to crap sleep and being woken by the phone at 10am, 11am and 12am this morning), so I'll meet him tommorrow perhaps. Simon rang me too - he might come to the gig tommorrow night.
hawklord2112 and I spent about an hour trying to get a taxi/bus/taxi home, and then I had a nice cup-of-tea (well needed) and wandered off home, bumping into Ali on the way.
Right then, I'd better get these DVDs off upstairs before I'm asked questions about what I spend my money on lol!!
*slopes off hiding shopping*
POSH PICNIC PHOTOS ARE UP HERE!!
It was too bright, and I looked dreadful as I'd not slept since 4pm the day before...
*feels bad for tempting you*
glad you had a good day, so did i. must do cawfee again - fingers crossed with a better cafetiere next time!
Wasn't too bad - and it was more than strong enough lol!!
(did the trick, didn't it;))
for those of you that weren't there, we had a cefetiere of "Old Brown Java" - the strongest that they do.
Just got me back on 'the level' that did!!
Still, going to be another pro-plus/red bull night again tonight, as it was last night, and the night before... For ever and ever...
Heh, £65! Blimey.
I just spent £23 on this Hellraiser boxset thing, which comes in a sort of oversized replica of the puzzle box from the films. Lurvely, but as you say, a total extravagance. Naughty indeed.
NUS card: I don't know how it is down there, but HMV used to have a "18% off for NUS card-holders" day once a week, usually Thursday. Plus you can get into most cinemas for half price with it, not that you'd need to with all those DVDs to watch :P
I was also very tempted by that - had to force myself to STAY AWAY FROM THE BOX...
If you must go on a splurge like that, do it on play.com
or similar. I was just browsing in HMV one lunchtime recently, there was some Monty Python boxset in there for £39.99. On play.com the same item - including postage - was £31.99. I'm suprised people buy DVDs from HMV actually.
It was raining heavily, I was grumpy, I had money in the bank...
It cheered me up!!! ...and if anyone wakes me before 12, and that includes Mr. Postie, I'm inclined to yell very crankily at them - as I did to Barclaycard woman this morning who has been trying to reach my sister on my loft line and waking me up at 10am, 11am and 12 lunchtime every sodding day for the past three weeks lol!!
(she won't be calling back)
The pics are really good! I finally managed to see them I think my lap top is on its last legs. xxxx
You look gorgeous... I look bloody awful lol!!
(I want to see the ones missbumpkin
and I did in the pub on the Sunday with frilly knickers on our heads tho...)
No, I look BLOODY AWFUL!!!!
No you flipping don't!!! And that posey one of you looking wistful is downright GORGEOUS!!!!
i fully support your ludicrous indulges on home media.
hell, that's going to be half my problem when i move out.
as my mom said, "Dear, where are you going to put all this DVDs and books when you move out? Are you planning on three bedrooms right away?"
It's not just the DVDs... It's the videos, library/books, electronical toys, costume department...
I'm going to need a house!!
(but then, I suppose I did move from one back into one room lol - you can accumulate a lot of *stuff* in twelve years of independant living!!)
I've been after 'Dangerous Liasons' on DVD for ages! Also looking out for 'Sid and Nancy' and 'The Secret Garden'. *bounce bounce* Good choices by the way ;) xxx
Ah. Oops! And I bought 'Nosferatu' yesterday as well...
