Miss Von Trapp
Spent most of last week coaching on another team, and mon/tues this week too. Am back to my own team now, and have sensibly filled my bag with cds to listen to whilst keying. The three cds I've brought in are a Martin Simpson one, my own cd of songs (pretty much an album now - just need to master it), and The Three Trees roughcut of the final product. Finished recording my parts two weeks ago, and the myspace is almost finished too, with some of the tracks on that tell the story.|
Last weekend, for the first time in aages, we had nothing to do. Mike had a gig Friday night, which meant he stayed up all night and was very ragged/still slightly drunk Saturday morning - so we went in town to see the Lord Mayor's Day parade, and both got a haircut. The poor hairdresser had to fix the fringe I'd cut myself a few months back... We then slept from 5pm to 9pm and went out for a chinese takeaway after that.
Sunday was a little more sedate - had a roast in the Fortescue, then went out to the moors - Clearbrook, Drake's Leat and Goodameavy - where the Plym river meets the Meavy - went walking up to Dewerstone crags and quarry and back down again - leafy and lovely. Took lots of photos and got back about 7pm to watch old Doctor Who episodes all evening!
Am thinking of getting a cabaret band together to do my Miss Von Trapp stuff - upright bass and drums, cello etc... Should be fun!
