Busy busy busy rar!!! [Oct. 2nd, 2003|01:13 am]
Miss Von Trapp
[Mood |amusedamused]
[Music |Diary of Dreams]

I have had a very busy and productive day...and now I am ready for bed pretty much...

Last night, at work, we were told that Oxford RM staff would be on strike tonight...so I took the opportunity of booking the night off...the actual night at work was a lot of fun...and very innuendo-based...as Jui-ehh!! exclaimed at lunch (after eating a plate of veg curry) that she had a craving for meat. I was eating faggots at the time...so you can only imagine the sex-based hilarity that ensued for the next two hours...

Got home from work at 6am...but didn't sleep till 9am as I was going through 'cello music for weird cabaret...finally settled on a short 'romance' by Rachmaninov and went to sleep listening to it on cd.

Woke up at 4:30pm in a stupid rush, and subsequently had no time to do this lj entry earlier...and left for theatre at 5pm.

Theatre was great!! Worked through a lot of improv stuff...including a piece on decay that ended up rather like 'Weekend at Bernies'...and some other rather good stuff besides...

Also found out that I have one of the LEAD ROLES in the christmas show...Grand Vizier...I'll be a woman dressed as a man again hehe...how I love doing that...but played in a horsey-thatcher kind of way I think...

...went for a drink afterwards at the Dolphin, and chatted a bit about the old photographs in the pub and how it was likely that most of them were dead...this led to a bit of creative discussion for video/graphics projects etc (the weird cabaret theme is death)...

...then called in on my mate Nick, had a glass of red and bemoaned the lack of publicity for the goth nights in the local scene here and that there is no point having a really good goth night if nobody knows about it and that you can't expect word of mouth alone to fill a club...decent publicity is something I get a bit 'passionate' about...and various other things wrong with the world lol..and borrowed his 'Diary of Dreams' cd...from what I've listened to so far I absolutely bloody love it!!

Got home at about 11:30pm, cooked chicken with thai spices, dark soy and black bean and green pepper sauce...yummy...

Now there is a godawful docu on tv on how 'Goths make better lovers'...looks like 'local' tv...how embarrassing is that???

Well now I'm off to bed. G'night diary;)

I expect many many pictures from the play, once it has been performed. :)

I swear that "Goths make better lovers" thing is haunting me, as I meant to watch it but lamely fell asleep instead.

It wasn't really worth staying awake for really:)

It was a bit like local tv...and very ill-formulated ideas too...

"Goths are generally more intellectual than other 'normal' people..." was one statement...how sweeping is that???

And "Goths are more adventurous and generally much more open minded in the bedroom"...Prove it...watched your parents have you?? What a supposition that is...I'd expect it's more likely that goths talk about it more, but that, again, was way too sweeping a statement and did not justify the title of the piece.

Amusing, and some decent eye-candy, but poor.
