LIES!!!!! [Feb. 23rd, 2004|12:43 pm]
Miss Von Trapp
Gemini Drinking style:
Geminis can drink without changing their behavior
much -- they're so naturally chatty and short-
attention-spanned that it's just hard to tell
sometimes. They can amaze you by conversing
with finesse and allusions, then doing
something to belie an extremely advanced state
of intoxication, like puking in your shoe.
Geminis possess the magic ability to flirt
successfully (and uninfuriatingly, which is
very tricky) with several people at once. They
like to order different cocktails every round
-- repetition is boring -- and may create a
theme (like yellow drinks: beer, sauvignon
blanc and limoncello) for their own amusement.

Alcohoroscopes- what do the stars say about your drinking style
brought to you by Quizilla

The above is an UTTER LIE!!!!

I only drink red wine (preferably merlot or grenache) and/or pints of bitter!!

Though I am partial to the occasional gin and lemonade and anything aniseed flavoured...and have yet to try absinthe, which I've discovered is available at the new venue for my regular goth club...

*roll on next saturday...I'll mostly be partying with the green fairy hehe*

Oh my god! They got Green Fairy finally down here. Kewl, maybe its worth my while to go out to the same venue. Tasted this alcho-pop absinthe nearly two years ago in Leicester at a rock club and have missed its taste since then. *bounces*

Re:

You know, I just made a half-arsed makes-the-day-go-by-a-bit-faster gags about The Green Fairy being some sort of drink. Lo and behold, you say it is one. Either I'm totally out of touch with these things, or this is a total coinsidence - I suspect the former.

Re:

verrrrrry carefully and for the love of all that's Dark, DON'T MIX IT

traditionally, though, poored through a sugar cube onto crushed ice... and then sipped.

not, as my colleague's ex-bf tried it, drunk as shots mixed with red and blue aftershock. definite way to get yourself killed.

The Green Fairy, I assume, is a cocktail designed with fast-track feel-goodness in mind.

Absinthe

Absinthe contains an active constituent 'thujon' (not sure about the spelling) that is quite neurotoxic. Don't do it.

neurotoxins

the neurotoxins in proper Absinthe are very fun and good..and hard to come by..they MIGHT have an Absinthe derivative like they do here in the pacific northwest region of the USA..

The Gemini-drinking thing is very true for me. I always end up fighting with people who don't realise I'm totally wankered.

Absinth is lush, I've got a bottle of fairly weak [for Absinth] czeck stuff. I prefere it straight, but it can also be used in various cocktails.

The film 'From Hell' has a green tinge whenever the Johnny Depp character has a 'vision' (in other words, an Absinth-induced hallucination hehehehe). Great stuff. Always check the percentage, as it can range from 50-odd% to 70-odd% - good times :)

I once had a mouthful of something called 'Stroh' which was brewed from straw and was 80%...I think it came from Poland or somewhere...
